With a Masters degree in Teaching and Learning (Computer Education specialty) and undergrad degrees in English Language and Literature and Secondary Education, Michael Coady has been an educator for over 20 years and instructional designer since 1998. He is a detail-oriented and articulate team player who develops e-learning solutions for his clients. As an experienced educator, instructional designer, actor and writer, filmmaker and producer, he contributes a valuable blend of creative energy, story-telling experience, entrepreneurial intuition, and a well-rounded understanding of contemporary learning theory. As an artistic person, he also has an aptitude and flair for design along with the requisite software skills. As an e-Learning Specialist, Michael has the knowledge base and skills to make technology-enhanced learning an effective and rewarding experience. He has performed in several capacities in the creation, design and development of online courseware for education, corporate training and professional development - from project manager, to instructional designer and lead writer, to graphic and web designer. While developing interactive and blended learning programs for e-learning firms in Canada and the United States, he has managed ID teams remotely or served as the client-facing consultant, liaising with team members in both countries to deliver the product on time and on budget. With his skills as a writer, producer, filmmaker and actor, Michael is also able to produce compelling educational media to enhance learning experiences.

More about Michael
Michael Coady is from Newfoundland, Canada. After completing his undergrad education degree at Memorial University, he began his teaching career with the Innu people in the community of Sheshatshit, Labrador. After years of teaching English and Theatre Arts in junior high and high schools around the island, Michael diversified his education with a Masters degree in Teaching and Learning, focusing on Computer Education. This led him to a post-secondary teaching career, teaching Multimedia Communications College of the North Atlantic and teaching the Curricular Integration of Computers to pre-service teachers at Memorial University’s Faculty of Education. Having worked as a Instructional Designer for Memorial’s Distance Education and Learning Technologies, Michael now works as a freelance e-Learning specialist for companies in Canada and the US (as well as as working as an film, TV and theatre actor, writer and producer in Toronto and Los Angeles ... but that’s a whole other resume!
